Lillie and Marcius were married at Kangaroo Valley, NSW on the 12th July 1922. Their marriage record shows they were married at Meroo Meadow (Lillie’s parents property) according to the rites of the Methodist Church by F H McGowan. Both the bride and groom were aged 29, and the witnesses were Daisy Jervis and Alfred J Anderson. Lillie grew up on a farm at Beaumont.

After her marriage she and husband Marcius went to live on the north coast. After the birth of her first child they were advised to return to the south coast for the good of the baby Ivy. They returned to Lillie’s grandmother’s home at Cambewarra, then they farmed at Burrier, and Woodhill and when her parents died they worked the family farm at Beaumont. Marcius’ hobby when he retired was to raise and race pigeons, these he kept in the backyard of their home in Oliver Parade. Lillie died in David Berry Hospital. She was buried on the 3rd June 1960 in the Presbyterian Section, of Nowra Cemetery.
