Margaret and James were married in 1901 at Lindendale (farm), NSW. They were to have a family of nine children, and possibly raised a granddaughter Patricia as well:

Obituary: The Northern Star: Lismore August 27th 1957. Mr J F Buckley.

 Mr James Francis Buckley (78), beloved husband of Mrs Margaret “Mag” Buckley of 31 Brunswick Street, Lismore, died at his home early yesterday morning. Mr Buckley was born on the South Coast and came as a lad to reside with his parents at Lindendale. He later married Miss Margaret Mary Anderson, in Lismore, and the couple then spent several years at Dorrigo. They returned to the North Coast and had since lived at Bangalow and around the Lismore district. Prior to his retirement to live in Lismore ten years ago, Mr Buckley had been employed as a caretaker at St John’s College for two years.

 He is survived by his widow, sons Messrs Frank (Brisbane), Jack and Bill (Lismore), Kevin (Casino) and daughters, Mesdames HH Richards (Glen Innes), J Brady (Brisbane), W Clark and K Pezzutti (Federal) F Clark and L Craine (Lismore). Also surviving are brothers Messrs Mike (Goonellabah), and Jack (Clunes), and sisters Mrs K Harris (Brisbane), Miss A Buckley (Lismore), Sister Vitalis and Sister Ignatius (St Joseph’s Order, Sydney) and Mother Delores (Urunga). His funeral will leave St Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore today (Monday) after a service commencing at 2pm for the Lismore Cemetery.

 

 

Obituary: The Northern Star: Lismore 1st October 1964 Mrs M M Buckley

The death occurred suddenly at her daughter’s home in Rifle Range Road, Bangalow, of Mrs Margaret Mary Buckley. Formerly of 31 Brunswick Street, Lismore, Mrs Buckley was aged 82. In 1901 she married James Francis Buckley and lived most of her life in the Tregeagle and Lismore districts. She was an ardent worker for her church and charitable organisations, especially in 1939-1945 war years.

Requiem Mass was conducted in St Carthage’s Cathedral by Father Brown and Fr. Daley. Burial took place in the (East) Lismore Cemetery beside the grave of her late husband. Pallbearers were her four sons, Frank, Jack, Bill and Kevin and sons-in-law Jack Brady and Kevin Pezzutti. Her grandsons carried wreaths.
